Mosquitoes do not spend the day out in the open lawn. They rest in shade — under deck boards, in dense shrub bases, along fence lines, in the ivy. Treating those specific harbourage areas works considerably better than blanket-spraying open grass, and it puts far less product into the yard overall. Before we treat anything we walk the property for standing water, because a single untreated saucer under a planter will out-produce everything we can spray.

Standing-water survey
Every visit starts with a walk for breeding sites — saucers, gutters, tarps, bird baths, low spots. We empty what we can and tell you about the rest.
Targeted harbourage treatment
Shrub bases, fence lines, deck undersides and shaded ground cover, which is where resting adults actually are.
Larvicide in standing water
Water features and drains that cannot be emptied get treated so they stop producing rather than staying a source.
Foundation perimeter band
A treated band around the foundation, plus eaves and entry points, for ants, roaches, spiders and scorpions.
Event sprays
A treatment ahead of a party or wedding, booked as a one-off. Best applied 24 to 48 hours before.
Pollinator precautions
We do not treat flowering plants in bloom, and applications are timed for early morning or evening when pollinators are not active.
The season
Visit by visit, in order
Timing shifts by a few weeks north to south, and your local owner adjusts to the actual weather. Soil temperature decides the schedule, not the calendar.
Season start
First barrier application plus the full standing-water survey and larvicide treatment of anything that cannot be drained.
Monthly barrier
Applications every three to four weeks through the season. Frequency matters more than volume — a lapsed month undoes most of the progress.
Event treatment
One-off applications ahead of outdoor events, ideally one to two days out so surfaces are dry and the barrier has settled.
Season close
Final application focused on overwintering harbourage, which reduces how much pressure you start with next spring.

Does mosquito treatment actually work?
It reduces adult population in the treated area substantially, and it does not eliminate them. Anyone promising a mosquito-free yard is overselling — you share air with your neighbours. Customers who also fix their standing water get noticeably better results than those who only spray.
Is it safe around pollinators?
We do not treat plants in bloom and we time applications outside peak pollinator activity. If you keep bees, tell us where the hives are and we will map an exclusion zone.
How long after treatment before we can use the yard?
Once treated surfaces are dry, typically thirty minutes to an hour depending on humidity. Your technician notes the specific time on the door hanger.
